Is she going to Manama (the major city and the location of most of the protests) or some more rural place? I believe that she will enjoy Bahrain. It is an interesting place, and the people are good people. I have spent quite a bit of time there.Elizabeth Mahlouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00334700057953625321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7635810007913207952.post-1653562226498760252011-10-25T21:11:36.821-07:002011-10-25T21:11:36.821-07:00I have been enjoying reading your blog. Both are devout, but they tend to see God as fearsome and punitive and not loving. (Well, God works through His people, and if we are fierce with each other, it is indeed difficult to see God's love.)Elizabeth Mahlouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00334700057953625321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7635810007913207952.post-70550454025812925012011-10-23T17:54:48.839-07:002011-10-23T17:54:48.839-07:00I missed a two-week consulting job in Bahrain due ...I missed a two-week consulting job in Bahrain due to a sinus infection -- I could not fly. Our company changed after that and the opportunity never returned. I have several friends who worked there, some employed by a local firm, others who consulted short term. Each of them found the country to be lovely, the people friendly and did not foresee this time. Absolutely, pray for Bahrain -- not only their safety, but that they might see the love of God.Phyllis Blickensderferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03206757687699759551noreply@blogger.com
